With her passion for results and creative business sense, Jessica Cohen has proven to be a strong leader in the entertainment community.
Established in 2005, JCPR is a boutique entertainment public relations and marketing agency which prides itself on its attention to detail and individual PR strategies. Past campaigns include Macy Gray, Paul van Dyk, Ultra Music Festival, the launch of Beautyblender and a plethora of special events. Current client roster includes Michael Ealy, Jodie Sweetin, Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, Kim Director, Dolvett Quince, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Diana Maria Riva, Ashley Love-Mills and WWE's Naomi (aka Trinity Fatu), among others.
A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Jessica spent most of her college career interning with the hottest television shows including E! News Daily, EXTRA and The Rosie O’Donnell Show among others.
Jessica’s first big break into PR came from Warren Cowan & Associates where she served as an assistant working on the campaigns of such celebrities as Elizabeth Taylor, Sidney Sheldon, Aaron Spelling, CCH Pounder and corporate clients like Jenny Craig and STARZ!, among others.
After over two years at WC&A, Jessica moved to PMK/HBH where she worked on a variety of A-list celebrity campaigns including Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Tommy Lee Jones, Neve Campbell, Chris Kattan, Zooey Deschanel and Lisa Kudrow. She was promoted to publicist and worked on Carmen Electra, Courtney Love, the Hollywood History Museum, the Diamond Information Center, James Garner and Andre Braugher as well as numerous events and product launches.
Her work as a full-fledged publicist at PMK did not go unnoticed as she was quickly recruited by the Talent Department at Bragman Nyman Cafarelli (BNC) to develop their Personalities Division. Jessica represented actors such as Angela Bassett, Melissa Joan Hart, Catherine Bell, Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross before realizing that her true passion was to build and develop the careers of young, emerging talent in both film and music as well as events. It was this drive and motivation that prompted her to leave the big, corporate agency life and create her own company, JCPR.
JCPR is also affiliated with ACE PR, Statement PR, Katwalk Media, Strategic Public Relations and Hired Gun Publicity all of which have offices in New York, Miami and Chicago. Jessica Cohen is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and when not on the job, can be found volunteering at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and UCLA Health Center with her adorable shih tzu, Josie.
